Dr. Mark J. P. Freeman
Hello, I'm Dr. Freeman. I am so glad that I began this great office and have created this wonderful staff over the years. I am committed to providing you the best dental services with the customer service that seems to not be found frequently in today's society. I was born outside of Philadelphia, PA but have lived in Richmond since the age of 11. I am a graduate of Tucker High School and Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA. I completed my studies at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1990. In September of that year, I began this practice directly across the street from our present location. In 2000, our practice was nominated as one of the top five dental practices by Richmond Magazine. Every year my goal is maintain that standing by providing the best service possible. When you don't see me at the office, I am an avid baseball fan and coin collector. I make my home in Hanover County with my wife Christie. Christie is also a graduate of Randolph-Macon and can often be seen helping out at our office. We have three children: Olivia, John and Lauren.

Dr. Jeffrey A. Neal
DrNeal@richmonddentalgroup.com
Hi, I'm Dr. Neal. I am a yankee by blood but rebel-raised. I was born in Portland, ME and moved with my parents to Northern Virginia at the age of 1, so my father's construction business could have a warmer and better seasonal climate. I grew up in Nokesville, VA where they still have cow pasture fields behind the football/track field...yep you knew when it was milking time! I graduated Valedictorian of my high school class and then attended The College of William and Mary where I received my BS Degree in Chemistry. I spent my "spare" time in college working for the College Theatre Department and the Virginia Shakespeare festival. I definately achieved a very liberal arts education by taking multiple costume, lighting and set design classes with my science classes. I have always thought dentistry to be an art class! While at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, I spent a summer abroad in Israel attending and doing research at the University of Tel Aviv School of Dentistry. While there, I did some exciting sightseeing on the weekends, but the most rewarding part was teaching the first year Israeli students their intro to clinic class. I graduated in 1997 with my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was honored to receive the annual Society of Dentistry for Children award. Even though a country boy, I fell in love with Richmond during my four years at MCV, decided to stay and I reside on the southside. In my free time I enjoy relaxing on the water or riding my motorcycle. I joined the practice in 1999 when we moved into our present facility. At that time, I began to expand my studies into the areas of Orthodontics and Temporomandibular Joint disorders. For the past decade, I have been providing our patients with not only great general dentistry but also creating beautiful smiles with braces and getting patients out of TMJ pain.

Dr. Justin Scott
Hi I'm Dr. Scott. I am one of the newest members of the team but immediately felt a part of the family atmosphere of both the patients and staff. That is what makes this office so special. I am a west coast native from Portand, Oregon. I completed my undergraduate degree at Oregon State University...GO BEAVERS! and then moved across country to Massachusetts to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. I like meeting new patients and seeing families of patients as they grow, but it is most rewarding to help someone get back on track with improved oral hygiene and making a person more confident with their smile. When I'm not working hard for you, I enjoy being with my wife (who is also a dentist!) and our Boston Terrier. I have a sweet tooth for orange sherbert!

My name is Courtney. I graduated from the dental hygiene program at the Medical College of Virginia in 1982 and worked for several different offices before beginning part time with Dr. Freeman in 1994. I am married with two daughters. In my spare time I enjoy relaxing at Lake Gaston, reading, and am busy cheering for my daughter's swim teams.
Susan Seward, hygienist
I'm Susan and I'm a Richmond native who attended Old Dominion University, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. I have been working as a hygienist for 27 years, 12 of them at Dr. Freeman's office. The best part of working as a hygienist is "the patients". We have a great family of patients! My husband and I have two daughters in college and we are currently building a house in Montpelier. I look forward to moving to "the country" in the near future!
Penny Williams, hygienist
I'm Penny, a member of our dental hygiene team. I have been working in the dental field as a hygienist for over 20 years and have been here for the last 7 years. I attended Mary Washington University and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dental Hygiene. I enjoy sharing my professional experience with my patients through practice and education. Away from work, I enjoy playing softball, hanging out with my two labrador retrievers, and just relaxing at my family's place on the river.
Melanie Teasley, hygienist
Hi I'm Melanie! I started working here in January of 2004. I received my bachelor of science specializing in dental hygiene from VCU-MCV in 2002. I enjoy working here because all of us are determined to give each patient our very best to help them achieve and maintain optimum oral health. When you don't see me working, I love to go on cruises and snow skiing trips with my family.

Jaimie Snead, office manager
My name is Jaimie. I have been in the dental field for 11 years, 8 of which have been here. I am the office manager and I keep things running efficiently. I aid our patients in understanding and scheduling their treatment procedures, keeping their treatment plans moving, and helping them understand their insurance benefits. But the best part of dentistry is the final results and the smile it brings to so many patients. My life outside the office is busy with my family being involved in several sports activities and organizations.
Kim Kelley, front desk
I would be one of the newest team members of Dr. Freeman and Associates only joining the practice in early fall of 2008. I have been in the dental field for almost fourteen years starting off as a dental assistant and the past ten years working in the front office with scheduling, insurance benefits, etc. I enjoy the interactions with patients and helping them accomplish their dental needs. In my spare time, I look forward to spending time with my family and friends working/playing outdoors.
